Peytyn Willborn a visionary entrepreneur, and dedicated community advocate, has devoted her life to making a positive impact on individuals in at-risk communities. Raised in Altgeld Gardens and Auburn Gresham on Chicago’s Southside, Peytyn’s journey is deeply rooted in a profound commitment to breaking cycles of adversity and
fostering resilience.

Growing up in a single-parent household, her mother Carolyn Campbell’s love and sacrifices instilled in Peytyn a strong sense of community and service. Childhood
experiences in poverty fueled her determination to make a difference.

With a 32-year career in cosmetology, Peytyn not only owned a successful salon but also served as a celebrity hairstylist. Beyond the salon, she offered free hairstyles to
low-income clients, recognizing the transformative power of self-esteem. Pioneering the first 24/7 daycare in Chicago for 17 years marked the beginning of her community
leadership, advocating for parents and addressing gaps in community resources.

Peytyn’s commitment to education expanded with mentorship and resources for local schools, guided by the “Each One Teach One” philosophy. Owning Truth Italian
Restaurant for nine years fulfilled another dream, reflecting her vision of offering world-class Italian cuisine at affordable prices. Since 1984, Peytyn’s vegetarian lifestyle has aligned with her goal of promoting healthy eating habits, addressing mental health challenges connected to violence, and tackling health issues.

Honored with The Chicago Defender’s “Women of Excellence Award” in 2021 and the “Empire Entrepreneur Award” from CineCares Foundation in 2015, Peytyn’s dedication extends to serving as a restaurant partner for St. Jude Dreams Chicago for over three years. The passing of her parents prompted her to refocus on leaving a legacy for her children and grandchildren by providing services that assist struggling families.

GEORGE WILLBORN III
Chief Program Officer

George Willborn III is a proud native of Bronzeville, having spent his formative years on the vibrant Southside of Chicago, Illinois. Widely recognized for his drive and leadership qualities, George is viewed as a prominent figure among his peers. His journey in leadership began during his high school years at De La Salle Institute, where he not only discovered his innate ability to lead but also developed a passion for connecting with people. This realization set the stage for his future endeavors.

George commenced his college education at The University of Texas, San Antonio, where he spent two formative years. Later, he transitioned to The University of California, Riverside, where he completed his college career, earning his bachelor’s degree. Throughout his dynamic academic experiences, George cultivated valuable attributes such as responsibility, leadership, and a powerful sense of community.

After graduating from college, George embraced the world of entrepreneurship, stepping into the role of General Manager at Truth Restaurant, a nationally recognized
establishment in Chicago. With a background enriched by six years in customer service, George boasts extensive experience, a proven record of accomplishment of
organizational success, and a commitment to fostering positive work environments. Passionate about instigating meaningful change, George is driven by a desire to create
a lasting impact within his occupation and community. His active involvement in neighborhood initiatives, partnerships with local organizations, and dedication to social responsibility exemplify his commitment to giving back and making a difference in the lives of others.

In his role as the Chief Program Officer (CPO) of Quality Life Chicago, a nonprofit organization, George extends his impact, focusing on creating positive changes and fostering a sense of community. He deeply believes that businesses hold a responsibility to positively influence the communities in which they operate. George Willborn III’s commitment to social impact and community building continues to leave a lasting mark within and beyond the workplace.

CAYCI JETER
Chief Operations Officer

Meet Cayci Jeter, an embodiment of determination, enthusiasm, and versatility, hailing from the Chatham neighborhood on the vibrant South Side of Chicago, Illinois. Firm in her belief that her upbringing shapes her identity, Cayci sees her village as an integral
part of who she is today.

Her educational journey began at De La Salle Institute for high school, and she graduated from the Lakeshore chapter of Jack and Jill of America Inc., where her
passion for community service and outreach ignited. Engaging in extensive community service through one of the ten chapters, Cayci learned valuable lessons about herself and her surroundings. A significant accomplishment during this time was her involvement in hosting workshops for Misericordia Chicago, where she contributed to feeding, teaching, and nurturing mothers and their children.

Cayci’s commitment is to provide her village with social, cultural, and educational opportunities. Since childhood, she has been driven by a deep desire to assist others. Cayci pursued her bachelor’s in communications at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, graduating in May 2021. Post-graduation, Cayci joined forces with entrepreneurial leaders Peytyn Willborn and Amber Staples, leveraging over five years of experience in customer service and client relations. Currently serving as the Director of Operations for Stapled Events LLC., Cayci excels in supply management policies, procedures, and systems. Her role involves close collaboration with clients, partners, and sponsors, highlighting her determined yet warm attitude.

While recognizing that there is always more work to be done within her community, Cayci stands as a role model among her peers. Infusing creativity with persistence,
Cayci Jeter diligently works to leave a lasting impact on those around her and her community, serving as the Chief Operations Officer for Quality Life Chicago. Her will to
promote progression in the world is evident in her endeavors and leadership role within the organization.
